Markilux 1700 Stretch awning project

We fitted a domestic Markilux 1700 Stretch awning for our customers in Esher, Surrey. They contacted us as they needed some shading to their home and patio area during the hot summer months. They wanted an awning to extend in line with the projection of the conservatory. To enable us to do this, we used the Markilux 1700 Stretch system.With two crossover arms, it provides a greater projection than the awning width which is exactly what this installation needed. They also wanted the awning to be at the same pitch as the roof, and again, this make of awning was the perfect solution. The white framework blends in with the window frames and conservatory so is in keeping with the exterior of the house.

Made-to-measure

As all of our awnings are bespoke, we are able to manufacture each one to our customer’s specification. Our representative will meet with the client to discuss what they want and then prepare an estimate based on this information. The size, colour of framework and material is chosen by the customer with our help if required.

The Markilux 1700 Stretch awning is a slim, compact system.  Its contemporary shape and rounded cassette gives it a design elegance that the larger, robust models lack.  We have a wide selection of plain and patterned fabrics in many different colours.  On this occasion, our customers chose a lime green acrylic cover with a matching straight valance.  The overall appearance was clean and modern in keeping with their lovely home.

These awnings are particularly suited to narrow patios, balconies and recesses.  As mentioned before, even awnings with a narrow width can extend further thanks to the crossover arms.
