Heat and glare reduction

If your home is facing south, then even on a cloudy day your room can become unbelievably hot.  The sun breaks out and somehow supercharges through your roof lantern or skylight, thereby causing heat, glare and UV.  Subsequently, your furniture and floors will start to fade. Additionally, mealtimes impossible as most tables tend to sit under the natural light. It could also even spoil your enjoyment of Wimbledon in the summer afternoon on the TV.

So what can be done? At Radiant we supply and install a range of electric blinds for roof lanterns. The easy to use blinds consist of head boxes and side channels which look neat and tidy in any home. We offer a range of blinds depending on what you require.

Fabrics for your Roof Lantern Blinds

You can choose from a variety of fabrics. There are screen fabrics that will reduce the heat and glare but also allow you to see through them. Alternatively you can select black out density fabrics which are ideal for bedrooms and cinema rooms. You can even have an external grade fabric that is completely opaque yet will allow some light into the room depending on the colour chosen. The metalwork is generally white but can be power coated in any RAL colour should you wish.
